Bengali Indian Cooking Class with Mahabuba

Sunday, March 19th 6pm $45 per person  Limit 12 People

Join us March 19th at 6 PM for Bengali Comfort Food with Mahabuba. This class will delight not only your taste buds but you will leave having learned a bit about the spices and culture of Bengal.

Menu: Vegetable Khichdi, Fried Eggplant, Mango and Cucumber Salad and Egg Curry.

Rachel Hice of Willow Tree Pasta Ravioli from Scratch

Monday, March 6th 6pm-7:30pm $40 per person 

Join us for the encore performance of Rachel Hice from Willow Tree Pasta. She will be sharing with us her passion for pasta.  Rachel will be creating ravioli and showing us just how easy it can be!

Menu:

Mushroom pasta dough filled with brown butter, roasted garlic, sage,  ricotta & feta cheese.

Bengali Indian With Mahabuba Sunday October 9th

Join us for a fun and flavorful with Bengal Native Mahabuba as she shares with us some of her favorites recipes from her homeland. She will be creating Chickpea Curry, Chicken Tikka Masala, Cabbage with Sweet Peas and Rice with Ghee.  This is a wonderful class for learning some of the classics. Class is from 5-6:30 PM and is $40. Beverages are included. We hope to see you there!

Alec Spidalieri from The Local will be here with us on September 28th for a cocktail class. We are looking forward to learning the basic and sampling a few of his favorites. Come join us for a fun class that will be filled with tips on creating the perfect cocktails. Great for the upcoming season filled with tailgating, fall gatherings and holiday parties!

Taste Of Tuesday Pressure Cooker Encore May 24

We had such a great time with the Fagor Pressure Cooker that we are bringing it back by popular demand. Join us Tuesday May 24th from 5-6 PM  to learn about pressure cooking meat. We will be poaching salmon and making BBQ Chicken.  That’s right, two dishes cooked in one hour. It is just that fast and easy. Oh, did we mention it is also tasty!  This is a free event but we do suggest that you register because of limited seating. We hope to see you then and Happy Cooking!

Vegan Cooking Mediterranean Style

Sunday, June 26th  5-6:30pm $40 per person. Ingrid Berger is a personal chef, caterer & cooking teacher in Charlottesville. Many of her clients request vegan dishes, and in this class she shares dishes with Mediterranean Diet influences including some plant-based proteins essential to healthy vegan eating! A variety of produce will be sourced from our farmer’s markets. (This menu is also gluten-free.) Menu: Dark, Leafy Greens Sauteed with Garlic, Chickpeas, Almonds & Chili Flake. Pie Making 101: Salted Honey Pie

Wednesday May 25th 6pm-8pm. Join The Pie Chest’s Rachel Pennington as she leads us through the ins and outs of creating beautiful and delicious pies. This will be a hands on class, She will be making a Salted Honey Pie for this class. Students will make a pie to take home with them as well as learn how to make the dough.This will be 2 hour class.$55 per person.
